WINDOW CLEANER LEAVES A NOTE THAT SAVES ME FROM A DISASTROUS MARRIAGE (IF YOU SEE THIS, I’M FOREVER GRATEFUL). My fiancé and I live in an apartment where the building maintenance occasionally hires window cleaners. A few days ago, I come home to see a cleaner working outside. It’s a bit awkward; I feel like a fish in a tank. As soon as the cleaner sees me walk in and kiss my fiancé, he freezes. I brush it off and go about my day. When my fiancé leaves for the gym, the cleaner is finishing our last window. As soon as my fiancé is out the door, the cleaner starts writing something on the soapy window with his finger. The words are hard to read from the inside, so I move closer and see “Look under your carpet” scribbled in shaky handwriting.
